hi,
Somebody surely must have wondered in the past what was the "war pact" mentioned in the messages settings. I have always imagined it to be something like a one-particular-war-only alliance.

It could be nice, convincing other nations to join you in war after you DOW a certain nation, maybe giving the nation you wanted to arrange a war pact against a cb on you if the negotiations fail.

Will you be implementing anything similar to this?

More flexibility with regards to alliances would indeed be great. :)

Having played the EU3 demo, you could perhaps take some ideas from that, but I'm not sure how much you'd be allowed to 'borrow'.

More dynamism is the key, I think.

I like the idea! I would like to see more diplomatic options in general, especially in peace deals. For examble the possibility to force another nation to release vassals, the possibility to demand a trade agreement and the possibility to demand a country not to colonize a certain area (like in Victoria).

Edit: Perhaps these posts should be in the "wishes" thread

The diplomacy should be more flexible, but making sure the AI can use it correct is the most important thing.

I am sure options like the ones teodor suggested would be good even if only for online purposes. Forcing another player to abdicate from colonizing a certain area, for a certain time, would be good.

...and make force-vassalizations unbreakable for the duration of the truce at least. :)

No, it is very bad idea. I don't want the situation with loans, which are not used by AI in EU1 repeat. AI must be capable of using this new features. If development team will not find the way, how to make AI use it, then better remove this features from the game.
