It's about Warlords, and warlords !! The Warlords is in China :)

-Ahistorical Background

In 1914, Yuan Shikai the Commander of Beiyang Army, the most powerfull army in China, declare allegiance to Emperor of China Pu-Yi's. Yuan realize that if he can maintain good position in the throne he may able to claim and take it, his thinking was supported that in fact Pu-Yi's was still young and was not able to maintain his position.

Then in 1915, Dr.Sun Yat Sen tried to make use of Yuan position, but instead Yuan think, that by rising Sun his power will become weakened and thus he crushed Sun in vicious bloody battle of Guandong, when Beiyang Army crushed the Nationalist Kuomintang. The Nationalist Kuomintang went into hid.

After destroying Nationalist in mid 1916, he tried to claim the Pu-Yi's throne and force the Emperor to abdicate, but that was not that easy. Because he started to lose Beiyang Army support. The Beiyang commanders and high ranking officers started a coup de etat capturing Yuan in his private mansion at Xi'an.

Then the commanders and officers of Beiyang Army starting to broke as each commanders want have a power in Beiyang Army. Then the problem started to make chain reaction.

Yan Hsi Shan, one of the Beiyang Army officers, revolt with 50.000 man and starting to capturing and declare that he's the leaders of New Shanxi Warlords. The Warlords era had begun.

Then Long Yun with a numbers of troops garrisoned Yunnan, rapidly proclaime that Yunnan is now free.

Zhang Zuolin with support of Japan proclaimed Fengtian Clique positioned in Northern Manchuria.

Liu Xiang rapidly mobilize his personal bodyguars army and with Yang Sen local troops they formed Sichuan Clique.

Lu Ronting with local militias and troops also proclaimed Guanxi Clique.

Meanwhile the rest of surviving Nationalist eshtablish Kuomintang contol area.

Ma Bufang, Ma Hongkui, and Ma Hongbin proclaimed Ma Clique or Xibei San Ma(Three Ma's of the Northewest)

Sheng Shi Cai gather the Islamic Chinese and proclaimed Singkiang of Freedom they were supported by Russia.

Suprisingly in almost a month Beiyang Army is dissapear, completly destroy piece by pieces by local warlords seeking for their support.

The legal China with Pu-Yi still control Peking and small parts of center area with help of some trained Beiyang Army that still loyal to Pu-Yi's they still able to maintain control over the area. Pu-Yi's then give all commanding rights to his Father, Zaifeng together with Pu-Yi they seek to restore China again.

Other warlords have ambition to united China under their flag. Which do you think will win ??

So here is condition in 1936.
All of the warlords is still exist except Guanxi were reformed under Bai Chonxi

So, Japan doesnt invade Manchuria? unlikely, it needed the space and materials, without them, Japan would most likely crumble.

Then crippled it would be, I'd love to see a Japan that needs to recover in a game, as it hasn't been done yet.

you could probably borrow the Fengtien (sp) stuff from Kaiserreich.. but other than that I dunno. Chinese history from this period isn't my strong point.. :(

But what im saying there was no option, they had to invade Manchuira when they did, or they would have probably already errupted in civil war, that could also be interesting thing to see, with Chinese warlords looking to get back at they're old enemy, or Japan its self collapsing into small Fractions.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting rather annoyed at these threads that give alternate history ideas but do nothing to actually MOD.

Yeh, but to be fair, even people who dont know how to mod should be allowed to express there ideas, this is, in thoery a dmocractic forum.

Okay,

Gigalocus: In that time, the Japan was still Social Conservative nation and there is no need for raw materials because there is no war.

Rcduggan: I would like like made from strecht since i don't want to bother Kaissereich since its have completly different story with this.

Hails and Nails: Don't worry, i will develop this plan into mod and hopefully release it :)

Anyway this isn't just ideas i will develop it into mod, into mod
I will post the map soon.

# re-updated the first post
# will add more warlords

Okay, thank you.

To create a copy of your 1936 Scenario, go to your HoI2/scenarios folder.
Find "1936" folder and copy it. Rename it to "Warlords1936" or something.
Now, find the 1936.cfg file. Copy it, and rename it "Warlords1936" or "00_Warlords1936" to make it appear on the top of your scenario list."

Open the 1936.cfg file with a text editor, can be Word or just Notepad. Go down near the bottom where it references the original 1936 folder and the country config files contained inside. Change the directory referenced to your new "Warlords1936" folder.

Is there any suggestion for the Warlords Provinces ?
Chinese_civil_war_map_02.jpg

The map of China in that time, probably can help you. :)

Actually also nationalists and communists were at start just warlords, they just have internationalist (or inter-china) ideology.

So what's your staring year? 1936?
I must say it's a hard work.
Because it requires lots of data of leaders, tech teams, ministers for each clique.
So the starting year is important... for the warlord era is long. (1916~1930s)
There are many books in the school library about warlords, but I think it will take a lot of time to find useful data. (And I don't have time to help, for now :D )

I have another mod project on warlords and qing dynasty now.
But it just base on situation 1936.
This makes the project much easier. :D
