So, the game will be more about prestige and wealth than traditional empire building. But, who's deciding what my prestige will be. Let's say I'm playing Byzantium, errrr...probably the Patriarch will be in charge of that particular task. The problem is the Orthodox were not very keen on the whole Crusade thing.

I don't think the patriarchate will be deciding your prestige, but your piety on the other hand, will probably be affected.:)

Am I supposed to be pious? In the game I mean...

Being pious will (I imagine) be presigious, and will help you get on with the church. Remember that history (and everything else) is written by the church. You don't want to end up like King John I [England].

Prestiage and Piety, I believe are different in game, one comes from de gold and de land and the other from following Mother church's directorates...so I guess i'll just have alot of land..lol. Play as you want, personally i am going to play somewhat differently depending on who is my leader =-P
