Will CK simulate weather as EU2 did.

Snow drifts always came in the winter while icebergs made the northern seas dangerous.

I ask because most of the screenies are dated January; I'm unsure whether weather will be added later or whether it will be left out.

Why would it matter if weather was in MP games if it wasn't in the single player campaign. I simply want to know if weather is in at all since there's been no hint of snow in the dead of winter.

Yeah we just saw a screen of Scandinavia in January, I'm guessing the snow isn't in. :(

I wish they could return to the way the weather was treated in EU2. I liked seeing the snow it was very cool :) but even if they had a seperate map with weather like in HOI that would be cool

Winter has to be in CK. It would be really silly if wars during winter were as much often as wars during spring or summer and their effect (season) on troops was the same.

Actually I think the effect of winter in EU2 was a bit unrealistic and a-historical. At least in northern Europe winter was always the best period to move about on land (or actually on icy rivers and lakes). During the middle ages war was also often avoided (if possible) during the times of sowing and harvesting, since if the harvest failed the whole society would suffer.

1. After CK time war was on very seldom in winter time. Troops went into quorters and stayed there, until weather was dry and warm again.
2. Feudal forces had to stay in the war tree or four months, not more. That was between sowing and harvesting, I suppose.
3. There are a few wars in 15th century I know were fighted in winter time in northern Europe. But I think they are exceptions.

From reading about scandinavian history I can't really say that they seemed to make much difference between summer and winter. Actually many of the most decisive battles in Swedish history have been fought in late autumn/early winter. As a matter of fact the part of Sweden where I live would maybe not have been Swedish at all if it hadn't been for the extreme winter conditions in the late 1650's (at least it wouldn't have happened at that point in history). So if you fought in areas where ice and snow could be relied on, winter was your friend (if you were prepared for it of course).

Beyond the historical conditions that surround the winter weather conditions, I brought this weather issue to attention because I really enjoy games that have snow, and with the beautiful almost portrait quality the snow would make a simply spectacular game.

The snow and icebergs should be in the game because there's no reason why in the dead of winter that snow shouldn't cover the northern Kingdoms of Europe.
