I was just reassigning colonists to their correct jobs in my 2nd dome when I noticed that some of them are running chaotically inside that dome in their space suits, suffocating and dying in the end. The dome was not damaged and it had a surplus of oxygen (and everything else).
I believe the deaths then slowly made more colonists abandon the expedition. But all they did was put on their space suit and run around a perfectly functioning dome till they died. There was even a parked passenger rocket at the time of the first several deaths, just sitting there refueling, I thought they would atempt to reach it to get a ride back home, but no, they just put on their space suits and ran around the dome till they died of suffocation while there was enough oxygen around them.
But I have no idea what caused all this in the first place. I did notice however that the numbers of colonists between my 2 domes were shifting by 1 or 2 constantly (the first had living space for 28, but during this it was changing constantly between 27-30). The second had plenty of both living space and jobs. And when I was looking at one of those idiots they were changing their residence and workplace constantly as well between both domes and even when it said both location were in the 2nd dome, they continued to run around till they died. Couldn't assign them to anything either, because according to their status, they abandoned the expedition. Those two domes were kinda far away from each other and there was no shuttle service (didn't discover the tech), but no colonist was ever seen running on foot between those two domes though, they were all just dying inside the 2nd one while running around like mad while constantly changing their residence and workplace.
I then left the game running just to see how it would end. The dying stopped at some point, I believe after 20 deaths (30% of my total population). After the last of them died the numbers of colonists between my 2 domes stopped shifting.
Don't know what to make of this, don't know what went wrong. The way I see it, this wasn't caused by just one problem, but by multiple problems and I had no tools to deal with the situation, couldn't stop the constant shifting of colonists, couldn't assign them properly, nothing. Or am I missing something? I must say I dislike the separate domes system more and more.
