As you can see, Beta Zeta spawned right in the middle of The Void. At least I won't have to deal with Troi's Mother as long as she's stuck Where Silence (Thank God) Has Lease.

Yeah, I'm not going to deal with this one, and I think I'll just restart.

I don't think this is a bug, but maybe change it so that home worlds of minor star nations don't spawn inside space weather phenomena?

Several years ago I did a TNG rewatch and posted short reviews and rankings of each episode and season. I had special awards for each season, one of which was the Lwaxana Troi Award for Worst Guest Appearance. She won every season except season 6, and only because she didn't appear that season.

She wasn't a terrible actor. It was just a terrible character. When I'm looking for a Star Trek episode to watch, her appearance in the description of the episode more or less automatically disqualifies it. So the advantage of her entire planet being trapped in the void is that, presumably, so is she.

I might get a lot of hate for this, but ...I really liked the DS9 episode where she hooks up with Odo and admits she's sad and lonely. That one really hit me emotionally. Hard.

In my last play-through, there were six or so star systems inside the void which is not supposed to have any stellar objects at all in it...

IMO her character is much better in DS9. In TNG she's continually played off as an annoying older woman who is the butt of jokes. DS9 humanised her by showing how lonely and sad she was, which leads to her trying to make everyone like her (clinging to obsolete status symbols, bragging, excessively talking etc) but she overcompensates which drives people away.
