And the number apprentice jobs as well? Currently it's maxed out at 3 but I would love to know how to change that.

I've been digging around, and so far the files I can fine related to the Necrophage are, 00_ORIGINS 02_specialist_jobs and necroids_events_1+2.

Any idea on what specific code I should change for my mod?

The Necrophage ascension event (necroids.1) is triggered by the on_colony_10_year_pulse on action (in 00_on_actions.txt), but since there isn't a on_colony_1_year_pulse (as we haven't needed it yet), you'd need another way of triggering it. Otherwise, you could move necroids.1 to on_colony_5_year_pulse, and the event would fire every 5 years. You'd want to change the timer to 1620 for necroids.2 in game_start.33.

If you want to increase the jobs provided, have a look for job_necro_apprentice_add in 01_pop_assembly_buildings.txt.
