What did I do wrong in changing the Primary Title?

In a recent game, I decided that I didn't like my old kingdom title (Venice) and that I wanted to make King of Leon as my new primary title. So, I went into the save game and changed this:


VENI { VENI LEON....

to this

LEON { LEON VENI ....

The game came up properly in the select a save game for play, but it crashed upon loading. I changed it back and everything was alright.

But what did I do wrong? What else needed to be changed to modify the primary title?

hmm.. i had the same thing happening when i had like 20 titles and was primary King of North Africa x_x

so i opened the save-game file with Word and used the Find and Replace option to replace all NORF with BYZA ..

and it worked fine, no problems at all.

A search-replace will also remove the title definition of NORF...

yes it did, but as i owned the provinces which made up the NORF title i just created it again and added it to my other titles.

so the search-replace works if you prepare the soil before the edit i guess
