The -99% item. I don't know what it is nor how to find relevant actions to change the value.

I don't read your native language but went off your thread title. I went through the industry area I have and didn't find anything related to specialized city production for any of my businesses. A guess would be the business requires rock and you either don't have that specialized industry in your city or you don't have enough to supply this business so they have to purchase the raw material from outside connections (assuming you have them).

It's a scaling efficiency bonus given to businesses in your city based on how much you're producing of a given good. The more your city makes of a certain good, the greater the specialization bonus to companies producing that good.

The wiki is pretty poor quality and rather dated at this point, but here's the economy section on it (check the Production subsection): https://cs2.paradoxwikis.com/Economy

What's strange in your case is that -- as far as I understand it -- this specialization bonus is only intended to operate as just that: a bonus. In your case, it seems to be applying as a malus. You definitely want to report this as a bug if it isn't due to a mod.

Thanks for calling that out Cardinal. I totally forgot about that. And I had just read through all of the wiki before jumping back into the game after the last patch.

I've just noticed a -100% Specialized City Production in some of my commercial buildings: wasn't expecting there to be a negative effect given what I've read (including the wiki linked in this thread). Would be grateful for any further information about this effect and how to offset it - or if it's a bug?

I cant read your language but I got -100 specialized city production ones. there isn't any mention of this from the game creator. It behaves as a severe penalty and kills all your production. When I got this on electronic then my production in this commodity went to zero. Before that I hade maxed out efficiency and many manufacturers plus the signature building . I think this happend to me because I produced to much electronics in relation to my demand of it. Because it gradually started to drop when new commercials selling electronics spawned. By the way every commercial that spawned became electronic so I hade a 6 block row with only electronics mixed use. This is indeed strange but why i think tthis has to do with production and demand. Anyway I continued to do this until that "penalty" disapperd. Maybe you can get the same result by bulldozing electronic manufacturers.

Yeah. It somehow effects both commercial and industries that handels the same product. I got it in convenient food and electronics. Both commercial and industries.

I'll try this - thanks for the tip.

FWIW I have been bulldozing lots of the industries and some of the commercial sites producing / selling the goods where there was a negative efficiency effect, and it's increased the efficiency of both a lot. I had to repeatedly bulldoze individual industry buildings, as they respawned the same one that I was getting rid of, over and over. Persistence paid off :) Using the Resource Locator mod really helped isolate these, BTW. Thanks rcav8tr!
