OK, I've seen a varity of different letters in parenthasis after every version #.

I have Hoi 2 v1.2 (HQYQ) whatever that means

I have the Stony Road auto update mod and have installed everything but the windowed mode. This was a guess.

Do these four letters have any significance?

The reason I ask is because no one else ever has the same version compatability in Multiplayer. I've already done a clean installation using the directions for manual removal of the game and reinstall.

EDIT: For some reason the game crashes after I've been at Valknet for 5 mins and try to use the "back" button. I end up having to restart, it won't even ctrl alt delete...

1) LOTS of people have the same version number, that how they play MP.
2) You may not have the same, that is because your game is so heavily modded.
3) What they are is a checksum. So it tells others that you have modified your game, and thus do not have the same version as them.
4) Having identical versions is required for MP for many reasons, one being to reduce cheating.
5) If you have altered your game, how do people know this was not done to cheat.
6) You have user made mods installed, so this voids your support from Pdox.
7) You must contact the maker of the mods you have installed for support with their stuff.
8) If you have so many things installed, I would be surprised if you found many people to play with on MP.
9) Most play with Vanilla game with the one manual fix done. Or with that and one specific mod.
10) All Questions pertaining to MP are gathered together in the MP forum, So I will move this thread there.
