What happens if BOTH the Pope and Supreme Patriarch are gone?

So, pre schism, after a series of events, both the Pope and Patriarch have lost their power, and Europe as a whole has degenerated into Autocephaly.

Is this fixable? Or has my timeline's version of Christianity essentially fallen?

I mean it might be fixable, but the same kinda thing happened in my game, and Christianity got abit screwed up. Crusades can't unlock but Jihads can etc

The font is ARFM. Colours are probably the standard shades + uses in the religion screen map.

Who holds rome if not the pope? Also who holds the constantinople church? Since all 5 patriarchs under chalcedonism(Rome, constantinople, antioch, alexandria, and jeruselum) have their title auto created as a duke tier title for the bishop whenever a chalcedonian holds that holy site, it should be quite easy to restore them by simply making a chalcedonian hold said sites.

If you want a patriarch supreme however, that I'm not sure. I had assumed like the catholic pope it had the title tag to never be landless-so even if conquered one would still exist, just more or less without any baronies to call it's own for the foreseeable future.
