Ok i am playing an MP game in version 1.02b because of an old saved game that me and my partner have. So anyway im germany and he's austria, and we actually drive russia back and defeat her. So guess what happens? Russia gets the defeat event and also gets every territory back that we had, and the same thing happens with france and everyone else. I think this is really dumb and would like to know a few things. Why does this happen, will it happen when we degfeat france and england, and is it fixed in 1.03b? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Well, better answer this before Allenby sees this, these types of questions drive him nuts.

Oh well

After the defeat event, 'negotiations' are started, the territory is reversed as the 'negotiations' are underway, after about two thirds of a year, the treaty of tilsit fires, giving you a bunch of puppets.
Here are the effects of Tilsit:

Free poland
Poland puppeted(GER)
Free Ukraine
Ukraine puppeted(AUS)
Free lithuania
Lithuania puppeted(GER)
Free Byelorussia
Byelorussia puppeted(GER)
Free Latvia
Free Estonia
Free Finland

AND FOR GODS SAKE, THERE IS A GENERAL DISCUSSIONS AND QUESTIONS TREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Zucker :) You largely said everything I wanted to say. Defeat events lead to Peace Treaties later on.

Deskjet, if you have questions, find the correct thread, it saves me lots of hassle :)

Ah it seems we have found a new spokesperson for general board clean up. This pleases me. You have done well Zucker, one day you may be accounted as one of us if you continue upon your bright path. :)

If you want to be unhistorically annexationist, then you're best advised to turn the defeat events off, because they are designed to take bits of territory away in the manner that actually happened after the First World War.

Okay, Zucker
