I'm currently running the (very bugged) Mac version of HOI2 on my Apple Powerbook, but am thinking of getting a PC (probably a Shuttle) for the main purpose of playing HOI2 with fewer bugs (and better support for Mods) and, when it comes out, HOI2 Doomsday.
This PC is not intended to be my main computer and I won't be running any demanding 3-D games on it (not my thang really...), so I don't want to spend a fortune on it, but I would like it to be capable of running *all* Paradox games, espc. the upcoming HOI2 Doomsday, smoothly and without any problems. So what sort of spec would be good this machine? Will a 2.6Ghz Celeron or Semperon be adequate, or do I really need a Pentium 4? How much RAM is *more* than enough for HOI" Doomsday - 1Gb? Would a better graphics cards than the basic recommendation (4 MB Video Card DirectX Compatible) actually make any difference etc.? Thanks
Paul
