Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched and found too many to sort through,

Do i need anything to play online? such as patches? I havent played online at all! i don't know how to join up to an active game! all i can get to is the Multiplayer screen :( Sorry about being so "thick" about this.

Im as new as they get to online EU2.. please help me out with some simple steps and possibly what i need to do to get online, and what i need to run online! wahahaha AI is pissing me off!

BTW. I will introduce myself, My Name is Thomas, Living in Australia.. Student still, Also Living/frequenting the Philippines a lot.
 
Welcome to MP tomauer. A quick list of things to know:

1: Diplomacy is done via ICQ. Go to the ICQ site and download the latest version and add your number to your signature (like I have)
2: Each game has in its 1st post which mod they are using. Generally we play with version 1.09. So make sure you have at least this.

3: When playing EU2 MP, start up EU2 and go to the multiplayer section. Click on V-Net and enter a nickname (there is a space behind your name, make sure you delete that). On V-Net in the top click on the scroll down menu and select EU2. There you can join a game which hasn't started, etc...

4: Go to the Newbie help thread for some basic information on all areas (ICQ, strategies, ...)

Thanks mate! appreciate the info! One thing, My EU2 is as it is when i bought it, no patches.. nothing, fresh from the box.. Any Patches or upgrades i need before i find out the hard way?

Anyway, hope to play against or with you in future, and to meet everyone here and have some fun! :)
 
It might be obvious, but make sure your ICQ nickname is tomauer. It can be rather confusing - especially in the beginning - if you have one nickname in this forum and another on ICQ. Or, the horror, a third nickname in Vnet. ;)
 
Hell FAL, if there are people playing eu2 in Vietname, it wouldnt be hard to find Aussies around.

Before they did, anyway. Tended to play on American times, but there were a few for the Europeans.

Yes, and that vietnamiese porn watcher is certainly a succes ;)

(this is not a insult or namecall mods! he actually admits he watches porn while playing with us , ask fal ;) )
 
tomaeur needs the fix to be able to join mp games that use the watk3.1 mod, anybody got the link ?
