-> What is really working well in your Ghenghis Khan game?
-> By what time you start conquering the world?
I found that migrating is at the moment not really working well if you are the Borjigin mongols of Temüjin for 2 reasons:
Wat seems to work really well for my game, is to all the time do these actions:
Expanding down south so I can build the "barter stalls tent", as there is a feudal kingdom there that you can neighbour if you conquer a duchy/county next to it.
Also I avoid the confederation option, I saw youtuber "Stray King" do it in his "the scourge of god" youtube series and it seems to break the game.
Screenshot below is an interesting thing that happened in my game.
In the game there was a neighbouring nomad leader I found very interesting, tribal chief "Khatun" was attacking my tributaries, she emerged as a civil war faction. I guess these are the kind of things that make a sandbox game interesting, it was ideal to marry the tribal leader to have a strong ally closeby (as that is my playstyle for this playthrough).

I found that migrating is at the moment not really working well if you are the Borjigin mongols of Temüjin for 2 reasons:
- One of the best nomad provinces is Karakorum, which is right next to you as a khergit county.
- At the moment there is a bug in the game that keeps court members stuck in the old court location as mentioned in another thread.
Wat seems to work really well for my game, is to all the time do these actions:
- Nerge hunt.
- Stealing herds.
(I don't steal from vassals, tributaries & allies. This way I hope to keep them strong. I use the overview list of strongest herd nomad leaders steal from the biggest herds for best returns) - Ally with a few closeby nomads to join their wars for prestige rewards.
- Instead of tributizing I conquer duchies or counties from my neighbours to then give to a herder in my court or close family member / blood brother.
(I don't know if it helped but I ended up with the conquerer trait after I played in this playstyle) - Recruit brides by paying with your herd for it, then marry them Matrilinealy with high prowess characters that will be your knights.
- Upgrade main buildings when you have lots of money + prestige, they give the strongest bonuses.
- If almost no money + prestige, upgrade the small ones so you don't waiste time later in the game.
