I was just wondering this. It seems interesting with the Alternate History and all, but there's not much info on the main Intro thread on it. Could someone either provide some links or give me more info please?

Oh, and is it playable yet or still in testing mode?

Greetings,

There are two mods housed in this forum. The first is the original Aberration. The second is Interregnum, which began life as Aberration II, an extension/continuation of Aberration. Aberration is now mostly dormant, while Interregnum is hot with new ideas and work. So, you can download and play both or either of these mods. They have a similar basic premise, that of alternate history with a balance for multiplayer environement, but it is eminently playable by a single player and you will find most nations more challenging than the vanilla version of the game.

Interregnum has a lot of different ideas and approaches than other mods: the ais are mostly better, colonization is a little harder and there are fewer 'freebies' to make your life easy. There are also random events that attempt to hold back players who try hyperteching or unbalanced development.

I upload the most recent version of Interregnum every Monday. (Look below for the thread Interregnum Beta 6.03.) At the moment each upload contains bug fixes and often a lot of new material. But the mod is 'ready to play'.

If you find bugs, please report them in the stickied thread above.

If you have comments on the playability or plausability of a nation or event, please locate an approariate thread and post your comments.

If you think we are working on something fun and intriguing and you think you have an area you'd like to work on, we are always looking for new talent. :D

Here is the link to the latest beta. Next mondays will have a lot of changes, though.
