whats a mod and how to use it

Hello i been playing games but for mods i dont know how to use them and what they do so if anyone could explain for all the poeple that might be intrested in playing mods but dont know how to download or even what is a mod any one could tell how we could use them to play them we would appreciate ir alote sorry for my grammer english is not my strong ) have a good life and enjoy it

Hi darklord,
A Mod is a Modification (change) of the game. It may add some events, countries, or some other things.

To download a "mod" you will need a program that most people have, "Winrar"
Search it on google.com if your computer does not have it.

Go into the thread/post for a mod and find the download link (It may link you to another site, it the download may be at the bottom of the page)

Once you have the .rar file of the mod open it with your Winrar program (just click the file)

Then open this folder:
C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis - Rome\mod

Place all files in that .rar into that folder.

Open your EU:R launcher and hit the drop down box at the bottom.

Select the mod you wish to play and then hit "Start Rome"

Then you are all set to go!
