I just remembered that Paradox opened up a studio in California back in 2019, and as far as I know they haven't released anything own yet nor are they collaborating on various projects like Paradox Arctic or Thessalonic (at least they weren't mentioned in the recent "Update to PDS" post which detailed the new colour schemed working groups).

Have there been any news whatsoever regarding what they're working on since they were first announced two years ago?
 
Latest I see from a search is from last month, looking for a Technical Artist. Might be able to read some tea leaves based on the responsibilities and qualifications that the IP is probably not a Grand Strategy game on a map.

Good eye! At first I thought skills such as "Adjust vertex weighting for character skinned assets" doesn't fit into developing a GSG, but then again, Crusader Kings 3 has them. The only thing which looks like it definitely isn't a GSG is that they're working with Unity, as much as I can see.

Lol I like that they have a seemingly very hard rule on not talking about spoilers in the break room (Social perk: "Spoiler-free break room environment for at least a week after major movie/show launch")

While I do believe it probably is a GSG, I know that there are some speculating in the The Sims community that Paradox Tectonic is going to debut a new life simulation IP and knock EA/Maxis down another peg. Similar to what happened with Cities Skylines and SimCity.

The only reasoning I have seen, though, is that some old school talent moved on to Paradox Tectonic.
