Topic really says it all, exept I play in windows Vista and forgot to place it in a special map when installing it.

I can find the map marked "saved games" in the scenario map, but there is no saved games there, so I assume it's somewhere else.

Try this

There is a button called Compatibility Files. Click it.

Though I would advise you to reinstall your game and now not in 'program files' but in here f.e.

Hmm, well I decide to move the whole damn thing to the place wher EU2 is located. Apperantly something in that process deleted my save games :(

On the bright side, I can now see any NEW save games I find. I only played 30-35 years or so of the last game anyway, did ALOT of mistakes, but learned alot too. I have no ide where my old save games are, I could probably get them back if I really wanted, but I'm content with haveing my files where I want them now. I just start over again, but maybee with another nation. Castille was for practicing with an easy nation. After getting the first 4 ekstra provinces, it was just about waiting for Aragon to pick on the one big power left there, so I could pick on the smaller power without attracting unwanted attention.

Will an alliance with a big power, like Kingdom of England help preventing someone to attack me(even though England never came to my help ever).

Yes, being allied to a strong power is a good thing when you are not so strong yourself. Since the AI will take your allies power into account before he attacks you.
