Once again you don't play nations but dinasties :p

Reminder: The game is not about nations, but about dynasties/families.

Anyway, I think I will start with the French Capet dynasty and try to keep all Normans/Brits as my vassals :)

Byzantium, definately!:)(that is, their rulers:p) Probably play Norway and the HRE early on too.

If the "Duke of Bordeaux" truly is an independent, playable dynasty, as the screenshot suggests, I will play them. As long as I have wine and truffles, what else do I need?

It would seem that the design has been changed, such that all Christian dynasties are playable, not just the independant ones. This includes vassals, so I'd say that Duke will be playable.... ;)

According to that old Dynasty-list, there would be some tiny Duchy/County still ruled by the Carolingians... If they are still in I think I know what my first choice will be. ;)

All of them that I can play! Pretty sure I will play some more than others and probably play several of them multiple times before I get around to having played them all. But that is the plan as of now - play them all!!

(Guess who doesn't have a life?) :D

For first games Poland, Poland and once again Poland. :D

Task: Make Poland under Piast dynasty as big and powerful as it was (in union with Lithuania) since 1410 till 1648 year.

Next I think about Castilla and Byzantium. ;)

I'll probably go for one of the Welsh ones, and see if I can hold off the English longer than the real Princes managed!

This looks like being the sort of game where wherever you start you're likely to get an interesting game!

I think I'll look for a dynasty as far north in Sweden as possible, or something in Finland.

If that seems to tough I'll go for something wealthy in central europe to learn the ropes of the game before returning.

That is the way I see it too. No matter with what lands your dynasty starts it looks to be an interesting game.
:)

I think I would like to play Willima de Conquerer first off...mm...and then perhaps somthing a bit smaller, between france and spain area.

Duke of Orleanes (If the position exists), or perhaps somewhere in or near Bohemia or Kievan Rus.
