Battle master was much more accurate though because it wasnt a trait giving bonuses to tanks, and it wasnt german only. The trait gives bonuses to combined arms so calling it Panzer leader made no sense

And the term "Panzer leader" was utterly misleading when it applied to all forms of combined arms, hence it being changed when we put a great emphasize on combined arms units. Yes, "Panzer" is universial enough that it would be ok on a trait affecting tanks only, but that's not what the trait was for.

But you shouldn't assume we have the same traits with the same names and effects in HoI IV.

Are people not reading this? Especially the last line?

How do you know about the Beachmaster trait?!

Now I want to add that

as an added bonus when using a leader with that trait during a naval invasion it could play that soundtrack....

Read it.

Also read were you said Panzer Leader became Battle Master in another thread. Which is the primary issue in this thread.

I think a majority of people would prefer something other than Battle Master because it's, well... stupid.

yet nobody has managed to come up with a more fitting name

My primary complaint is that the terminology isn't WWII era terminology, and it takes away from the game experience.

Many generals have Offensive Doctrine or Defensive Doctrine as their trait.

Panzer Leader could become Armored Warfare Doctrine.

Mechanized Doctrine
Mobile Warfare Doctrine
Combined Arms Warfare

Any of those sound more era appropriate.

Hope that helps!

It does not. Firstly, neither Mechanized Doctrine or Mobile Warfare Doctrine is at all appropriate since combined arms units need be neither Mechanized or Mobile. Combined Arms Warfare is in the right direction, but doesn't sound like a trait name. If anyone actually remembers the TFH DD where I introduced the name change, I mentioned I considered "Combined arms specialist", but felt it was a bit unwieldy.

More to the point, I don't see us changing it in HoI3 at this point and I have already said:
But you shouldn't assume we have the same traits with the same names and effects in HoI IV.
so discussing this is fairly useless.
