Why are my forum avatar options so limited?

I've noticed many people using things like advisor portraits from EU4 (not just 'women from history' afair) or species portraits from Stellaris for their avatars on the forums, however I do not have these options whatsoever in the portraits. I don't find any of the given options appealing so I'm kinda stuck with N/A for my avatar which is annoying. I do own both games and the vast majority of DLC's. Are they exclusive to certain users for some reason or is it a limitation with using the forums in Chrome or just a weird bug, or what, and any ideas how to fix if so?

Because you have no games registered here.

If you have your games on Steam, you need to link your Steam and Paradox accounts, and they will show here and increase your avatar options.

If you have them from elsewhere, eg Epic or GoG, we'd have to get your games registered here manually.

Also bear in mind that many recent releases have no icons (and thus not avatars) yet, as none have been added for a while.

Hmm, I linked them up but I'm still not seeing any additional options.
