This is just so frustrating.

I just read that a "collection" is going to come out for King Arthur that includes everything. WHY???

Most of the people who have this game cannot even buy it due to the fact "The Druids" will not be released on so many sites. Steam and D2D are the only 2 that have it, but the thing is that D2D does NOT have "The Saxons."

At this time, the only way to buy it is to have the STEAM version (buy everything, I mean). WHY?

Now, a new collection version? WHY IS THE PROBLEM WITH DRUIDS NOT COMING FIRST AND FOREMOST over EVERYTHING ELSE???

King Arthur 2?
King Arthur Collection?

Yet the only way I can play "The Druids" would be if I bought the whole game AGAIN.

Please contact Paradox Interactive regarding publishing issues (support@paradoxplaza.com).

I did and received this response:

Hello Sunjah_Kahn,

I'm sorry about the delay. Druids is only available on Steam right now because that is the only version that works. How that came to be I'm not really sure, but that is how the situation looks right now. We still do hope to get this solved in the future, we do not want to be Steam exclusive, it was just the best solution at the time.

Regards, Linda

D2D has it listed as well, but I am SHOCKED that 2 new things (KA 2, and KA Gold) are announced, yet this has not been fixed. WHY???

I had downloaded it from Impulse (I think Steam has a very serious ego problem...way too big).

The expansion is available pretty much no where else, from what I can gather. It is troublesome that this has become a "Steam Exclusive", whether it was meant to be or not.

I'm also surprised at how the last add-on and the update have been Steam only. I realize that most of the Neocore elves are busy working on the next big thing but why was this last bit half-done and only supported on one out of something like four or five distributors?

I'm baffled and disappointed.

It's only because Steam is the biggest, most successful, and from what I've read, easiest to work with digital distribution platform right now.

To the guy above who said steam has too big of an ego, what does that mean? If you guys haven't gotten Steam yet due to how crappy it was when it first came out you need to try it again.

The only reason I ever heard about Paradox and their awesome set of games, including the King Arthur series, is because of steam. They also have bomb sales all the time, and usually two huge ones, one during summer and one during winter holidays.

Sorry if this came off kind of fanboyish, I just really like how Steam is handling digital distribution and I for one am happy they are working so closely with Paradox and our Hungarian bros.

Edit: To be clear though I do think its crappy that if you bought the game through other distributors you aren't getting support. I just really like steam and don't think the should catch any flack over this.

I do have Steam and it's terrible. Even worse than I had imagined.

Despite what Steamboy's often repeat, it's buggy, critical features don't work, it's rarely compatible with add-ons from anywhere else, forces you to log in to play games that you don't technically own and forces advertising on you in the process. Shall I continue? Because there's more.

Do you really think you've garnered more customers for Steam in this thread?

It seems that Gamersgate have it set up so that you can purchase the Collection at a substantial discount if you already own (through GG) the origional game(s).

Already owning KA + Sax I was able to purchase King Arthur Collection with a 75% discount - thus I effectively got Druids (plus the two small DLCs) for £6.24 through GG as opposed to £7.99 through Steam.

In addition KA + Sax + Druids all work together on one install.

Except the bloody console doesn't work! :p
