How do i become a Khan instead of a Yaghbu, i thought it was cultural but then i saw two different tribes of the same culture, both king rank but one was yaghbu and one was Khan, what determines this?

Also what determines the armor the steppe nomads wear? the eastern and western have different armor sets but in the culture menue both are listed as having "mongolic" military equipment? when making a new culture how do i make my culture get the western or eastern armors?

I think it is government form. You can easily test that in 1066. Start as Pechenegs (Yaghbu), and immediately become Settle the Steppe to become Tribal. Your title should become Khan then.

Mongolic military equipment refers to army units graphic on map. Armor is clothing part of the culture.

While kaftan for western nomads, deel for eastern nomads is correct, I wish nomads' kaftan were using different texture set than Iranians' kaftan.

That’s kinda dumb and lame that the khans of the steppe don’t even get to be khans.

Anyone know where to go in the localization to change this? I’d also like to change the naming system for nomads so that instead of just “the cumans” it could the “the cuman khanate/khaganate”.

I was poking around but couldn’t find where it’s stored.

It might be a bug. According to localization files Yabgu is for independent nomadic dukes

Thanks and that’s weird. The duke title is itibar.

Also one last question, where is the localization to change the horses names themselves? For example instead of “the cumans” instead “the cuman horde”?
