I love your company, but under no circumstances is it okay to charge for improvements to a game you have yet to fix.

I stopped buying your EU4 DLC sometime around Mare Nostrum, (and then bought HOI4, just to find it has no useful spy functions...)

More or less, your Allied expansion was a success, but anyone with a fair number of hours with your product will notice the little things.

Do you need another bug report saying that Japan's has a focus saying there is both a national focus and national spirit called 'imperial glory' within two clicks of each other on the focus tree? Or maybe that the threaten Siam focus doesn't care if you've already conquered Siam.

Is that a DLC feature, or do you just not care?

If these things have not already been reported as bugs in HOI4 Bug Reports forum, then yes, we do need a detail bug report. Thank you.

o_O

I must admit I do greatly enjoy your products, for the benefit of people not 'in the family.' Obviously you do care, but really, why submit a bug report when your corporate strategy is just to wait for the faction-themed DLC to fix bugs in your code?

"Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. "

Bertrand Russell also once argued about the uselessness of arguing against people who have different values, specifically in regards to fascism.

It is not my job to check if you have or have nor already have a bug report. You have a bug. With Japan. In a WWII game.

I enjoy this community, and the community and myself are in good spirits. It truely was unfair and unproductive to say you don't care... even if I genuinely expect that people with the 'base game' (also known as.... the game... outside of our bubble.) will get stuck with the deficient Focus Tree, which maybe wasn't that well thought out.

Pointedly, your response doesn't answer my question. Disagree away, but will you fix the Japan focus tree, or just *ahem* expand it and let the clear flaws in your base game (that thing you sell) twist in the wind?

I'm not unkind, but frustrated. This latest patch doesn't seem to be fixing anything a player would care about.

Your diplomacy, and your meta-diplomacy, need reworking. Making construction take longer is just half-way to why not just remove everything above infantry weapons 1.

Forget the 'air combat' and the now reasonably efficient naval combat... Nobody wants real uses for diplo points... and why not dial back army experience a bit? Seriously.

Oh, and fix the major nation's focuses...

Then charge me 20 bucks to have a few extra factories I just could have built for free in the last version of the game... (and maybe rebalance infrastructure costs to boot.) "Naval Combat" is currently wait til 42' /44' to build shipyards after conquering the continent. Lower ship costs!

Here's the facts... from the wikis.

"At its peak, the U.S. Navy was operating 6,768 ships on V-J Day in August 1945, including 28 aircraft carriers, 23 battleships, 71 escort carriers, 72 cruisers, over 232 submarines, 377 destroyers, and thousands of amphibious, supply and auxiliary ships."

Currently, 250 ships is about as much as you'll ever find (minus convoys) in any nation's fleets.

Now I've done my work. Now, how about you tell me if I need to file a bug report, or if you already have one, and just won't bother?

So basically I'm hearing that you want the biggest and best GSG but you don't want to pay the developers for making it.
Or rather, you'd just want to pay forty US dollars or your regional equivalent for a few hundred dollars worth of quality content that dozens of people poured their lives into.

Let's not forget demanding things be fixed without reporting what needs fixing because it isn't their responsibility.

You posted in a general forum, not the HOI4 one. So it seemed to me you didn't want a HOI4-specific response, given that you also mentioned EU4.

We have a forum where HOI4 bugs are reported and responded to officially. If you don't want to search to see if the bugs you mention have been reported or not, OK then. If you don't want to report bugs you believe you've found, OK then. It's not reasonable to then complain, in an unrelated forum, that they haven't been fixed.
