Why might clicking on the error deer not be opening an error log?

Never made a mod before so pardon my slowness. I'm fiddling with the UI to try and improve it, and I'm trying to figure out what each component of the element does. Some of them generate errors and the deer says I can click on the button to open the error log.

But when I do, nothing opens. What gives?

Unfortunately, I made the same experience. I'm under the impression that it works with original files?
