wide screen / Change Language

Can anybody help me with these two issues:

- would like to change game language from english to german
- as I am playing on my laptop how can I change to wide screen?

Both are done by editing the settings.txt file in the Rome directory. Once you open it in Notepad it should be fairly self-explanatory.
