Widescreen Graphics Mod (Updated 27.01.08) Hearts of Iron 2: Widefront High Quality GFX/SFX mod Features Interface - New Menu backgrounds - New Skin to support new resolutions - Lots of tiny graphical interface tweaks here and there Shields & Flags - For 147 countries - Extended shield size 44x88 allowing 1:2 flags - Accurate colors and sizes - No animation on flags Map colors - New comfortable colors - Color codes for countries changed - All map modes make sence - Bug on the supply map mode for now(explained below) *mainly white provinces except boarders are red or green Counters - New much more authentic looking counters Propaganda posters - Propaganda posters replaced with roundels SoundFX - New more comfortable navigation/popup sounds - New battle, movement and unit selection sounds Multiplayer This pack changes checksum due to the changes on countries.csv. The resolutions however shouldn't change it, so this is compatible with people using original resolution as well. Credits Icons by Scytth & Kristoff & BeBro Land, Naval and Air sprites by BeBro Improvements to Finnish Leader images by Ukas Resolution tool Pegasus Hexa Wizard by Lord Ederon Time limit tool "Parches Hoi2-dd.exe" by ? Everything else by Torni *Resolution and no time limit functionality removed* modifying the exe = not allowed. distributing the exe = not allowed. While this mod does alot of useful things, we simply can't change the rules (due to legal reasons). DL closed due to reasons stated above
