Have you guys thought of making an event that allows a widow to inherit a title if her husband's line dies out? Like what happened with Lady Hornwood and (most likely) Lady Whent?

Oh, is there already an event for that? I have not played AGOT since SOA came out.
No, I mean they should be able to. Inheritance is hardcoded by the developers I think, but maybe an event could do it but I'm not sure.
From playing with the MB-GOTW mod, I know this is possible. That mod basically implements jure uxoris into the game.
What is the MB-GOTW mod? From what I can tell if someone has no heirs and no other dynasty members then a random courtier inherits.
Jure uxoris was an unofficial law that applied to titles in the medieval era. Basically, it makes it so that a husband can usurp his wife's titles, but was more complicated than that. I highly recommend you check out the mod. Once he becomes less busy, he will probably do an AGOT version.
Anyway, if you play around with the mod, you'll see what I mean. With a comprehensive event, spousal inheritance could be added to this mod.

When I have time I could try reverse-engineering the MB-GOTW files to do this, but it'll probably be a while before I get it working.
