Oh I hope so. I just hope there are more trading routes other than the Silk Road and the Trans-Saharan. Sea routes would be good too, especially if they want to add merchant republics in the future.

I would love to see a robust economic development system in CK3. I don't know if it'll make it in, and I don't think its absence would dissuade me from getting the game, but I do love seeing my realm prosper and develop in meaningful ways. Trade would be an excellent element of such a system that I would love to explore.

I swear that I saw one of the news articles about ck3 mention an expansion of the trade route system with silk/gold route being especially lucrative parts of it but after looking for half an hour I can't find it. I hope I didn't imagine this

I could see this being a thing for a Merchant Republic expansion, but being able to develop your own Silk Road equivalent that could perhaps even surpass the SR would be a neat idea. Could be a way to expand your wealth and power without having to play too wide.

Hi,
I do agree for this suggestion.
I never quite understoodd how economics works in CK2 (only building a market place or choosing business trait for my rulers... Lol noob moves and i haven t tried a merchant republic yet, my bad ) however...

I wish trade would be a bigger feature in CK3 too. Trade relations between rulers should be much more implemented.
And good productions could be an advantage to exploit too in game mechanics if possible to develop in core game coding of CK3
