will eic run under gamersgate and impulse together? and other Q's

I hi unfortunately bought EIC under impulse but i have most of my games from PI under gamersgate. i wanted to get the expansions, but i don't like impulse at all anymore, so i want to buy the expansions from Gamersgate.

1.) Seeing as i have the original EIC and the free designers cut from impulse... will the game accept the expansions if i buy them from gamersgate company?

2.) And, impulse is telling me that my version of the designers cut is v.1.12, while looking on EIC's website there isn't a v 1.12 listed at all. In fact, the highest patch i can find is only v 1.06 for the game.

3.)what is going on? where are all the patches listed for the expansions located at?

Since Impulse uses their own systems for installing the game you have to buy the expansions from them.

The latest version is indeed 1.12 and it's also called Designer's Cut Patch 1. For example Atomic Gamer has the patches nicely listed. Impulse and Steam handles their updates on their own so in your case you shouldn't manually install any patches. For copies got from other sources the game and expansions will prompt the player to update and download a correct patch through the ingame "check for updates" feature.
