Hi everyone!

I have a question and need an answer fast. I've just bought the Crusader Kings II Collection and am about tu purchase a few more DLCs that I find are a must-have. I'll definitely buy The Old Gods and the Sons of Abraham, and I've heard they unlock certain significant segments of this mod.
Is there a plan to integrate the RoI features into the mod? I'd appreciate if I could get an answer very soon, since it might influence my decision on whether to buy the DLC too right now, or rather postpone it for some later occasion.

And also, if I understand well, none of the cosmetic DLCs save for the Mongol facepack are used by this mod..?

I think that the devs are trying to use as few DLC-specific features as possible, so that you don't actually need any DLC to play the game. As is the Republic is necessary to play the Free Cities and certain religions can raid if you have the Old Gods (though last time I checked they had a decision to go reaving in case you don't have that DLC), but I think that's it. I may be completely wrong on that account though; it's just what I've heard.

The Old Gods apparently introduces a heap of things - not only rading, but concubines, berserkers, runestones, adventurers,...although there is a system for raiding apparently (even if TOG is missing), still there's a lot of features, a ton of events. Invasions too, I think.

The Republic makes the republics playable so it's a huge part on itself.

The Sons of Abraham introduces some religious segments, but most importantly, an organized Faith of the Seven, which can be influenced similar to the Papacy.

I am aware that they're trying to limit the DLC-specific features, and that is precisely why I'm asking. Some of the DLCs, like REP bring huge features, others like TOG and SOA some, and others are almost worthless (the SoI grants multiple wives for Valyrians, while LoR introduces castration for the Lannisters and some other families I believe [the Boltons?]).
So I wanna know where'll RoI fit and what can we expect from it. Since it has introduced war elephants, does that mean we can expect mammoths..?

How about giants from north of the Wall?

I know the Unsullied are a special unit group, but I don't have Rajas of India either, so I doubt it's need to implement mammoths or giants.

Careful reading of the changelog and manual will answer all the questions found in this thread.

Special units were introduced in the patch; they replaced Horse archers (which were made into a type of special unit) so it would have been hard to justify including it as part of the DLC.
