Will my saved 105 games work with the new 106 patch? ? ? Or am I just asking for trouble? I have not downloaded the new patch yet.

I'd give it a try if your save was from 1.05c (probably even plain 1.05). I didn't see anything in the readme that would definitely break it (like 1.03b did). There will certainly be some things that won't work correctly so I would suggest using a separate install for 1.06 and continue playing your current game with the old version.

THe answer is use at your own risk. 
It is always recommended to start a new game with a new patch.
Certainly do not report any problems as bugs if you decide to continue an old save with a new version.
