Me and my friend group have like 6 of us that would love to play and i just feel that the newer gen xboxs could handle the more slots, or they could do it like space engineers and have an experimental mode that allows it. Maybe im just overestimated xbox capabilities?

They've talked about adding extra star systems would cause problems later on so it's probably the same for slots on multiplayer. I think they just don't want to make it too complicated. Xbox series x manages the game really well for me but they probably don't want to over do it. I doubt they'll add more slots
Luckily I've never had the problem of too many people lol.
