Star Trek has so many threads that it's hard to list them all at once. I for one am waiting for the story with the Borg to unfold, how the collective of diverse races turned into cyborgs will be presented here, also their combination.

For those who have not played paradox games or stellaris before. Forget about playing through the story you know.

You will start at a point in (star trek) history, after which nothing will be like what you know from canon. Events that come from canon will be triggered by some things in game and your missions will call back to the TV shows, but if you look at the map in your game, it will still look nothing like canon. Imagine you will invite bajor into the Federation Kingdom to protect them from the ferengi who did conquer whole cardassian space and are in an alliance with the gorn.

I hope everything will be based on Trek from pre 2009. Taking ship classes and races from after that is ok, but what has been done to the Trek universe since then has been atrocious. On par with what Disney has done to Star Wars.

How dare you insult Strange New Worlds and Star Trek Online like that?

That you only list two instances that you’d want to defend shows how cancerous it all is. And, just like an actual cancer, you have to cut away more.

Plus, if you wanted something to defend, you should have put your foot down for Picard S3.

But haven't all of you read anything about the game? It starts about 20 years before TNG and lasts about 300 years. So forget about everything you say

I doubt that they are going to destroy your empire after playing through most of the game :)
So probably no burn.

The Picard stuff might show up in some events. Season 1 and 3.

One of the preview articles said the Romulan supernova is a scripted event.
If the Federation has recruited and still has Spock, there will be an event chain for them related to it. The Romulans can also choose to fully accept Federation help, or deny it.

None of it is cancerous. You just don't like it, but lots of other people do.

And Picard Season 3 was just as dull as the first 2 seasons. maybe even more so.
At least Seasons 1 and 2 actually tried to do something new.

Where? I haven't seen anything official yet.
Just an empty Forum popping up...
Several preview articles from various gaming news outlets went out last week.

To the Main-Question: We don´t know it. What we know from the Informations (availible Vids from Magazines, Devs etc.) is, that it will play in the TNG-Era to the Picard-Era. Evtl. get some Parts of the Pre-TNG-Era with the Enterprise C or similar and more after the Picard-Era.

What Star Trek belongs: the best Series / Movies were and are Enterprise (NX-Class), Strange New Worlds (Enterprise NCC-1701 with Captain Pike), Orignal Series (Enterprise NCC-1701 with Captain Kirk), the Movies with the Refited-Enterprise (NCC-1701 / NCC-1701-A), the TNG-Series (NCC-1701-D with the C announced), the Movies from the TNG-Era (NCC-1701-D & E with the NCC-1701-B announced) and the Picard-Series (new Ships incl. the NCC-1701 F and Refited older Ships) as atm the best End for the Original-Content from Gene Rodenberry.

I really dislike how the Forums are treated as 3rd rate sites now a days.
I dont go around and search for infroamtion on pdy games - as visiting the forums now and then was more then enough to get all the information that was there for the last decade...

Not enough. Its all just post-modern drivel, created by lesser successors to greater creators.

That is your opinion, and your opinion does not make a series better or worse, nor does it have to be the absolute truth. You know, it's your opinion and some like it and some don't. Plus all this is off topic

The topic is literally the new lore (post 2009) vs the old lore. The fact that the demarcation is obvious makes my point for me.

And we only need look at the metrics to see the new stuff is not doing well.
