Is it possible to hold the objectives? It's battle number 2 and I have played it three times. Each time there is an avalanche of Rebs as Hill and friends arrive shortly after I take the first objective and overrun the guns. So far I have had no chance of stopping them all.

I have achieved a victory through casualties but have never come close to holding the objectives. Is this how it is supposed to be? Any tips appreciated.

Great game BTW.

Most of my scenarios are designed to teach the player to be patient, and to punish him when he is not. This one is just the opposite. You need to hit hard and fast, and keep hitting. Can you take all of the objectives? Yes, it is possible, but you are going to have to be one heck of a commander to do it. A lot depends upon how much support you get from your peers. If Augur's attack can defeat Early you might have a chance.

Heh. This is easily the toughest scenario I've played in the game. Easily. I rarely manage positive scores. My high score is like 265. Most of the time I average out around 50-60. Its definitely a fun and tense scenario as I rush to rally regiment after regiment of routed bluebellies.

The "Williams scenario? Yeah thats a toughie. Press hard though and you can do it! Get in those woods and you can set flanking traps. You know they are coming at you and they don't know where you are. I have held the first and second vp. One time I came close to the third but ran out of time. High score so far is 546. That was good enough for me

Thanks for the responses guys - much appreciated.

I played this scenario again over the weekend and managed to get a high score of 660! However once again I was beaten off the objectives, I just can't get there 'fastest with the mostest'.

Still I'll settle for that score now, and move on to the next scenario now that obsession is over.
