Would it be technically feasible to add windowed mode to Crusader Kings? I like to multitask during game-playing by simultaneously being chat and downloading things and that would make the practise much easier.

Besides, if CK is anything like EU, then it can be played hands-off, thus either locking up the PC for long periods of time or demanding multi-tasking.:)

I doubt it'll be windowed. Besides you can always alt-tab. EUII is very stable in the background.

I agree. It would be so useful to be able to do other things while playing CK... :)

If CK is windowable, there's gonna be a lot of companies suffering form a lock of productivity... They'll be too many people playing CK while at work! But it would really be a good thing.:)

If this is some kind of poll for windowed mode:

Yes, i really would like to see CK in windowed mode. I would be able to monitor some other tasks while running CK. (For example my tv-Application ;) Or more likely my compiler/editor at the office)

Wouldn't windowed mode and multitasking make the game rather slow and unstable? The only windowed game I've successfully managed to run well is CM.

From what little I have picked up here about CK though, who would have time to do anything else (but maybe grab another beer) while playing? :D

Hmm, I'd put a poll up, but what sort of poll would it be? All the responces would probably be in the affirmative. After all, who here would object strenuously to having the game be windowed? :D

I would also very much welcome the windowed mode. I sit on EU IRC channel all the time, so it would be nice to play while there :D

Really Mart? You are on the IRC channel all the time?

;) :D

For the sake of argument, I could object strongly to such a feature. I mean, it will utilise the mean, mean, bad, bad Imperialist software of Bill d'Gates, henchman for the unbelievers.

I suppose windowed is good. :)

You could set up a poll like this:

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE A WINDOW MODE?

1 - YES, I like to do other stuff while playing.
2 - YES, windowing games is my passion in life.
3 - YES, I'd really like to play when at work but AT+TAB is just to slow and my boss keeps annoying me... So it's either a windowed CK or I shoot my boss *sound of shotgun pumping*
4 - NO, I like to keep focused on my game.
5 - NO, my mother told me not play next to windows.
6 - NO, 'coz I invented windows and yet I don't get any royalties for that so there's no way you keep exploiting my idea.

:D :D :D

1) CK running in FS as well as in windowed mode for the following resolutions: 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768. Color depth depends on your current desktop settings (16-bit or 32 bit). Probably this will be tweaked as stand-alone option for the FS. There's no limitation actually to run CK at any resolution (320x200 looks very funny indeed), but these three assumed to be major.

2) CK MP built on client-server model, using UDP/IP. However, you don't have possibility to join the game already in progress, server starts the game once all the clients connected and ready. Technically there's no limit for the number of players in game. So it
depends only on scenario settings.
