I have recently been trying to play victoria with a friend over a Lan network(cross over cable), however after encountering problems which saw the game lag and crash (due to the fact that their was limited or no connectivity i think between the two computers.) i have now been able to get the connection working properly.

However now when we try to host a game the other computer crashes saying windows has encountered a problem and victoria has to shut down. Can anyone please help as this is really annoying and all i want to do is play a simple two player game.

Any help would be appreciated

Also we tried it over the internet but it said that the ip adress had no game.

Everyone have this problem.
It's really annoying..
Although, I can live with the crashes.
The most annoying thing is that when it hasn't crashed for a while, only the host can build factories and railroads. PLUS only the host can split pops after the game has started and add workers to factories and RGO's.
Without those bugs the game would be very good in MP despite the crashes. :)
Don't have any solution to these bugs.
According to the crash problem, keeping the same host all through the scenario may decrease the crashes.
