Game has run for months with no problem. It was running even today. But after today's update, it won't launch. When I start from Steam, it starts a process that shows an empty launch window for a few seconds (not responding) and silently dies. No message or anything.

Windows 10, Intel CPU. NVidia GTX
CPU: Intel Pentium G3220, DDR3, 32 GBytes Memory
GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti, GDR5, 2 GBytes Memory

Already tried rebooting the computer and reinstalling the game. When I tried reinstalling the game, Steam updated itself as well.

Tried "Remove this Update" from Steam. This time it gives a error message. When I reinstalled the game again, the error message window doesn't appear. Although the game still fails to launch.

Click on OK to terminate the program

I did below. And it worked.
Then I located the problem. It can't even launch with my savefile in save files folder. The file must be seriously corrupted. It launches with the file removed from the folder, and loads other saves fine.

Got backup of that save file and replaced. Everything works fine now.

Thanks. I close this request.

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK2
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
