So I put my newly acquired EUII into my laptop, and nothing happens, some clicking, doesn't even make the noise that it usually makes while reading a CD. No automatic install start up, and when I go into My Computer and double click on the D drive I get an error message

The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

I checked the CD on my home computer, and it worked perfectly, and my laptop runs both CK ad HoI just fine.

So what's the problem? Am I doomed to never play EUII on my laptop, or can this be fixed?

It is clearly a problem between your EU2 CD and the drive on that machine. I guess the fault is most likely on the CD. You could try copying the CD on the machine where it works, or return it to where you bought it and ask for a replacement.

I was afraid of that, as I bought it online theres really not much hope of returning it, and im not really that computer savvy so I wont even try the copy trick. Oh well Ill just have to enjoy it as much as possible on my home computer :)
