Why do my units rarely serouis inflict casualties but seem to just force the enemy to retreat. Yet the opposite is untrue, Soviets attack me my orange bar bleeds away.

Any thoughts? My Technology is modern. My forces. My K:D ratio seems screwed up. I have DAIM. Is this the stupid GDE cheat?

You might just have a really high organization level for your troops which means they won't break and run easily- ergo heavy casualties. Manually retreat or try overrunning your opponent

Superior numbers will cause the most manpower damage to your troops. Assuming you're Germany, what seems to be happening is your troops are holding the line and even though they aren't fighting (no organization) they will still suffer casualties. Since Germany's troops have huge organization it takes quite a while to make them rout. Whereas the Soviets have much higher morale (ORG regain rate) but lower maximum organization which means they retreat quicker and suffer less casulties.

Yes it's a bad game mechanic but you can use it to your advantage by using your high ORG to constantly attack and encircle the Soviets with less ORG

you might also look at your mix of hard / soft troops. Hard troops will continue fighting long after soft troops have lost org (like MR said). However, the soft troops will still be in the firing line, taking hits. Perhaps consider keeping the bulk of your hard units back until you need them if this is becoming a serious issue.
