It has been a week already. Thank you again for nominating me. I am surprised to see that @Ran Miller hasn't been nominated. Their AAR is really nice to look at, and shows the author's creativity. I therefore wish to nominate them.
Thanks so much for the nominee!
Congrats @Ran Miller for an excellent show and welcome to the club!
Congrats to @Ran Miller ! Well done. I hope folks check out his work, which includes the addition of some poetry in a recent chapter. Always good to recognize first time winners.

Thanks for the kind words.
Still, best not to be churlish. Congratulations @Ran Miller , I'm sure it's wonderful if you like that sort of thing.
lol, you made me google churlish and I am still not sure what you mean. >.<

Also, I had a small health scare and some RL stuff so I was off the forums for quite some time.
Needless to say, I had zero time to read anything as well, so if it's one of the awards in which I need to kick it forward, I would prefer to defer.
Thanks so much again, for the honor.

We hope everything is OK, @Ran Miller. Health is the most important thing.

Consider the floor open. First come, first serve to nominate our latest WoW.

I'd like to nominate @Bloodfelt for their HOI4 Kaiserreich AAR American Caesar.

It follows the USA during and, now, after the second Civil War. The narrative touches following Prescott, Ike, MacArthur, Edgar Hoover and others add nice depth and context to the gameplay events. It's only been going for three months, so is a quick catch-up for any interested readers.

I too want to wish @Ran Miller well. Hope the health concern is minor and passes soon.

Secondly, I definitely endorse this win by @Bloodfelt . Always good to have a first time winner. Congratulations!

I hope @coz1 doesn't mind me hijacking this thread momentarily to also note that Bloodfelt's work is so worthy that it earned one of my votes in the ongoing 2024 Quarter 4 AARland Choice Awards (the ACAs). However, the ACAs and the 2024 Yearly AARland Year-end AwAARds (the YAYAs) are both currently lacking for votes. As this thread is widely seen, I hope folks will take the time to vote this week before the deadlines this weekend.

Thank you all! It feels great to see my work being supported.

I'll try to vote before Friday. Although I don't have much time to read AARs, I think there are several that deserve nominations.

This week has been really difficult for me to find time for myself. However, I think I already know who I'll nominate. But I'll still take a look at other AARs to see who truly deserves it.

I'm not a big poetry fan, but I know some people round here are, I also know it's not an easy thing to do and I think it's important to recognise the skill and care put into writing round here, even if it's not to my taste. I'd like to pretend it is just because I'm trying to be a nice person, but I admit it is also in the hope the same courtesy is extended to me by people who don't appreciate slower-than-real-time AARs.

Hope that explains it. I also hope you are over or at least recovering well from your health problems.

I'd like to nominate @Bloodfelt for their HOI4 Kaiserreich AAR American Caesar.
I having nothing original to add, so I'll just repeat that it is always good to see a first time winner and congratulations indeed @Bloodfelt

Congrats @Jojonium, @gothique, @Ran Miller, and @Bloodfelt!
Thank U!

I haven't been able to read any AARs recently because I've been tied up with project deadlines, and it's been impossible to find the time. Unfortunately, that means I’ve fallen behind on nominations. Becouse of that, I’m now opening nominations for other AARs. If there’s a story you think deserves recognition, feel free to suggest it!

I would like to nominate someone who hasn't won this award for almost two years. How he keeps four AARs going (it is four, right?) I don't know. (Yes, of course, he has the help of all those emus, but still....) Congratulations to @Bullfilter .

Even though he did not place in the gameplay category of the YAYAs, I still consider his AARs to be real models of that style. Currently, I follow two of his works closely: Blood and Empire in CK2; and Poles Apart in HoI4. He is certainly deserving.

Many thanks for the nomination and those nice words, @Chac1 . Most appreciated. Yes, it’s currently 3 active AARs and one on pause until I can finish one of the others then find the time to complete the mini-mod needed to extend Talking Turkey past 1950!

Indeed, congrats @Bullfilter! Not only do you work on something like 85 AARs at once, but also give time back to catch the work of others. A true champion!
