Winning the W.o.W. award for week 21 is none other than Battleline! Battleline has completed Beisbol y Cerveza, a Dominican Republic AAR which started out highlighting baseball in the Caribbean. When America went to war, and thereby taking many baseball players with it, the Dominican went on the offensive to do its part to bring the “national pastime” to the world. After completing Beisbol y Cerveza, Battleline has now started Big Trouble in Nationalist China . A very fully tale that includes many movie tie-ins, time traveling, and some very funny dialogue.

So Battleline, on behalf of the AAR community, please accept this Writer of the Week award. Oh, and don’t forget to give a speech!*

And for the inquisitive minds out there, there was an accounting scandal at WoW HQ resulting in the week being incorrect. It has been fixed now!

Nice work Battleline

as far as I know, you're the first resident of Missouri to become WoW since i somehow managed it with my "Peter on the White Sea" AAR for Eu2

Keep up the great writing!

Much Thanks to All!

Imagine my surprise when I checked the site to see just how far Big Trouble in Nationalist China had fallen!
I am honored to be included with the greats of AAR writing in receiving this award. Thanks! :)
I'm honored to join C.V. Mannerheim as a Show-Me State winner of the award. My job will be taking me over to Mannherheimville (St. Charles) quite often during the summer. Thanks for your support!
Stroph 1, 2 Coats and of course, vigilantsldr, have been great supporters of my AARs. Thanks guys. This belongs to you, too, because someone read what I have written and will write in the future.

A lot of thanks go to the AAR writers past, present and future. I never would have gotten into this without the spellbinding works of some of the greats. I would try to pass a little time while waiting for some additional work to come across my desk and start reading. The next thing I would know, I would be the last person in the office sitting here, still transfixed to the screen! Seeing those great works inspired me not only to spice up my writing, but also to start my own AARs.

I guess it would be an understatement that World War II history has been a passion of mine from the time I was very small. My father was a WWII infantry veteran with the U.S. 99th Infantry Division in Europe. We went back to see Remagen and the northern shoulder of the Battle of the Bulge sites back in 1995. Now that was a fun trip. I had always wanted to see Remagen since I was a child and we ended up spending two days there (mainly because Dad got sick and spent a night in the hospital).

I currently live and work in Washington, MO, about 60 miles west of St. Louis on the Missouri River. Washington is known as being the only place that still makes corncob pipes (like Gen. MacArthur liked). I'm the sports editor of the newspaper that publishes twice a week. I originally started writing AARs to help me put some creativity back into my writing. I think it's really starting to pay off on both sides, AAR and job.

While I like to play as the United States, I've found it very interesting in taking on the role of the very small (Dominican Republic) and very large (Nationalist China) in these AARs. The great thing is actually learning quite a bit of new information about these nations.

To keep it brief, once again thanks to everyone. My pledge to you is that I will continue to endeavor to find new and witty dialogue for my AARs and your entertainment.

Again, Thanks! :)
