To date Mettermrck has been involved in two AARs, both of extremely high quality. Join me in congratulating Mettermrck as this week's WoW. Tell us something about yourself, Mettermrck.

Wow, I'm the wow (bad pun alert)! :D I'm honored.

Let's see...my real name is Bob Kraus (ja wohl!). Now who in the world am I? Well, I currently live in Columbia, South Carolina in the United States. I'm 27 years old, single (if anyone knows any female history buffs, call me), and I work in the health insurance industry, handling correspondence and fielding complaints from law firms, state governments, and federal departments on a variety of issues dealing with health care claims. Of course, my first love has always been history.

I grew up in Massachusetts, which gives me that rich Yankee tradition, though I went to college at the University of Missouri-Columbia and now I'm living here in the South. What a mix! :) I worship the Boston Red Sox (American League Wild Card, woohoo!). I play a lot of strategic PBEM games, including the EU2 Medieval and 1515 RPGs, and I helped design a complex PBEM game set in the ancient world called The Reign of Ancients.
I'm fascinated with gaming design.

The 'Congressional AAR' was a product of my love for the United States Senate and the great debaters of history (Daniel Webster is a personal hero). Yet it grew into a love simply for the times, the cultural events that took place behind the scenes of war. And it was a pleasure to write, despite its being cut short. 'I Refer the Right Honorable Gentleman' is a British version, and hopefully I'll be able to finish in high style, conveying the intricacies of the British Cabinet during the Second World War. Thanks for all who read and comment on my work, as I appreciate all the input. It truly motivates me to keep writing! :)

All hail the WOW!

In possession of oodles,
Of knowledge and talent,
Mettermrck strides through the HOI LibrAARy,
In the guise of a Sav-ant.

Pen in right hand,
History books in other,
He writes about the US senate, he loves,
And now the UK govern-ment.

Painting the picture in words,
Is his strength,
As we all sit down and await,
His next install-ment.

2Coats, the antipoet!

Well done sir, well done!

** Gives Mettermrck a presidential salute **

(The one that all the actors playing American Presidents give to the pilots of US Armed Forces sent to rescue them. See Air Force One, harrison Ford.:D

Reading Mettermrcks "Congressional history" was what finally made me decide to write an AAR of my own.

What I find most impressive about his work is not only the vast knowledge he puts into each installment, but also the uniformly superb quality - most writers have their ups and downs, but if it wasn't for the obvious inspiration behind his work, you could almost suspect Mettermrck was a machine...

...who has detailed files. :)

Congratulations, Sir! A richly deserved accolade!

Congratulations.

Congrats Mettermrck...
