Prufrock451 has been around for a while, starting in the EUII AAR forum. His writing has always been supurb, coupled with an extremely vivid imagination. Though he was honoured in the other forum some time ago, I think it's only fair that he receives recognition here for his outstanding HoI work. Congrats, Prufrock451. Tell us something about yourself...

Holy cats!

I'd like to thank the Academy and all the little people. Specifically, I would like to thank the brownies that churn out updates for me when I leave them milk and honey. Twiddlefair, Grumply Ned, Nectarfiddle- this one's for you.

*sound of tinkly tiny voices cheering*

And special thanks, natch, to LD.

I've already answered at length (perhaps too much length ;)) in the EUII forum, and shame on you if you haven't picked that place to flinders looking for more great writing like the stuff here. But I'll say a few words.

I’m sort of a jack of all trades. I’ve been a bookstore manager and a Laser Tag champion, I’ve worked in politics, I’ve worked at the factory where they make Fruit Roll-Ups, and right now I’m a web designer (cheap rates! consultations are free! ;)) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I’ve had some really good feedback on my first book proposal, and the chances are good I’ll be a published author by the end of 04.

About me personally: I signed the petition to impeach Bush. I live with my girlfriend and 3,000 books and two plants.

Uh… that’s it! I hereby open the floor to questions.

*gavel*

Congratulations! I were first. :) :D ;)

Great job, Prufock! And a well-deserved award it is. You're one of the great novelists on this forum and it has always been pleasure to read your work. Your being a Fruit Rollup Manufacturing Engineer only enhances your greatness. :D

*makes way for 2Coat's impending poem*

And the book is on what?

Hooray! A well deserved accolade for a great writer!

Congratulations, Pruf!

Bah. Paintball is a man's sport!

Congratulations Prufrock!!!

I especially like the way you integrate real persons in your stories (e.g. Orwell). It always has me guessing whenver a new character is introduced:

"Who is this?" then "Am I an ignoramus for not knowing who this is? " and finally "Thank God for Google!"

Three cheers,
Vandelay

Excellent writer....congrats...of course, I'm still in love with your Sibir tale, but this one is not bad, not bad at all...
