This weeks nomination for Writer of the Week is a poster, that judging by the post count on his AAR thread, most of you have already heard of.

New on the scene compared to past H.o.I W.o.W nominee's, he has tickled, delighted, gazuped, bamboozled, overaude and crippled us with laughter, with his take on the superior German war machine's attempt at world domination.

An extremely hilarious, off the wall, wacky account of a surreal Hitler and his cronies, fighting one possible world war 2, as if playing a game of RISK. The author of a singular piece of highly addictive work, please join me in congratulating this weeks WritAAR of the Week, Rustican.

Thanks a bunch everyone! I't been a lot of fun writing the German RISK and i'm glad that people have had as much fun reading it. A good laugh always makes my day better.

Just a little about the German RISK:

When i first bought HOI i really enjoyed the game. The WW2 era has always intrigued me and how it shapped the course of events. But unortunately it was buggy and in my search for a patch i stumbled into this forum.

This forum is one of the best i have seen! Brimbing with information and helpful people everywhere. I Lurked for a while and in my spare time at work i started to read the AAr's in the forum.

There are very talented people writing there and their stories have kept me occupied well past my lunch break. I enjoyed the humor AAR's the most. Then on one slow day at work i was planning my nest move in my HOI German game a funny thought came to me comparing HOI, RISK and Axis and Allies.

I remember seeing in the movies of generals overlooking a battle map with little counters for the divisions and Imagined what it might have been like if the German High command had used a RISK board to plan out Barbarossa or the Blitz into Poland.

So ignoring the pile of work on my desk, I wrote the beginnings of the German RISK and the rest you can read about in your leasure. :D

As for me:
I've always enjoyed writing and a good laugh. Maybe i can find a job as a columnist somewhere and make fun of bad computer games :D

Well done Rustican! There are just so many good liners in there I'll have to go back and reread and compile them for a good laugh when I need it. :)
 
The RISK AAR is inspired; pure genius! A delight to read, each and every update. Great work, Rustican.
