Excellent choice! And the first TGW writer to win the award! :) Have a drink... :)

Humbly bows before the Writer of the Week

An excellent AAR I continue to follow put together by an excellent writer. Congratulations Stephen T.

Its about dang time. I knew that would be a fun AAR to read the minute I saw it went with the First World War mod.

Seeing as Stephen hasn't had the opportunity to collect his award, I think that it is only just and fair that I should accept it in his absence and claim all the credit :D

Naturally, I extend my congratulations! :)

Hey! Come back with that!

(Allenby runs down the hall clutching a gold statuette, chased by StephenT. After crashing through several groups of spectators, knocking over a table, bumping into somebody painting a wall so that the paintpot lands upside down on his head - covering his eyes - and crashing through a sheet of plate glass being carried down the road, he eventually falls down a manhole which somebody accidentally left the cover off.

The gold statuette flies out of his hand as he disappears downwards, and rolls to a stop at StephenT's feet. He picks it up and turns to the crowd.)

Gosh, thank you everybody. I - I don't know what to say. This is so unexpected.
(Starts to sniffle)
Of course, I could never have won this award without the help of so many others. I'd like to thank Johan and all the people at Paradox, the TGW team, my mum and dad, my goldfish Goldie who tragically died so many years ago, and...

...and, of course the kind people of this forum for voting for me. Thank you! Thank you! I love you all! (mwah!)

I suppose I'd better go off and write another update soon...

Personally, I would have thought that I would have perished in a far less calamitous style than falling down into some sewers after a series of mishaps that would have made the three stooges appear calm and considered gentlemen ;) On the contrary, I would have thought it much more glorious if you had taken your award back whilst violenty hacking me to death with a spade. :D

Wasn't it one of the three Stooges who used to rub their face vigourously when they got annoyed? Such a memorable gesture, but I can't quite remember who did it....
