after installing 1.02 patch over my US Europa Universalis 2 1.0 version, the game won't start (it worked fine before the installation) - when I try to run the program it says "wrong disk inserted". What I am doing wrong? I downloaded the file from this site and then installed it to the same directory my game was at. please help.
US. Does it mean my version is wrong or am I installing the patch incorrectly? I had no problem using it before the patch.
There was only one EU2 patch available for download so I assumed that was the one.

The patch is a no-brainer to install, you double-click on it and it will install itself.
So, there's something wrong with your version and that's why I want to know where you bought it, so it can give me a clue. Does it say Strategy First on the box? Did it came without a box? Did you order it from a US store or a local store in Russia?
