I play Prison Architect on macOS using an M3 MacBook Air. Due to the 13-inch screen, macOS applies a scaling effect where the system reports a resolution of 1470×956, even though the actual display resolution is 2560×1664. However, Prison Architect doesn’t recognize this correctly and locks the resolution at 1470×956, with no option to change it since it’s set to “Auto.” As far as I know, there’s no configuration file or other way to manually adjust this setting.

Probably due to this game not being supported on Apple Silicon, I'm afraid - it is reliant on Apple's Rosetta emulation for the UI. Do make sure you are on the latest MacOS version.

FYI ~/Library/Application Support/Prison Architect/settings.txt is where those settings are held.
