So I got the game pretty much On Day One Launch. I've had headache after headache trying to get it to function as it should. I managed to get to Sol 13. Before it completely threw up its little drone arms and decided to 'hang' on screen. Little things I began to notice were the Menu HUD not working as it should. And little graphical issues that appeared on surfaces of the Martian world.
Then there were more concerning and very frustrating Loading Times during actual game play. It took nearly 5 minutes to Press Start and try Save. Afterwards I decided to start afresh and just delete all my attempts. I uninstalled the game, reinstalled. Deleted cache and all game saves associated with SM. I was very hopeful at this stage this 'might' solve some of my pressing issues. However, alas it just wasn't meant to be. After reaching Sol 4, it began to slow down immensely. Screen would freeze. And music would stop playing, then I would wait.. And wait. And wait.. And jeep waiting for more than 15 minutes before finally giving up and shutting my Xbox down.
Sad to say, I haven't really had much enjoyment out of this game. As yet. I really hope the Devs are working on a patch fix soon. It's disheartening to say the least not able to play this Awesome game, especially after shelling out for the full package. I was really looking forward to spending this weekend getting to grips with the gameplay mechanics and discovering the Mysterious side of mars.

EDIT to add; HUD and info on buildings, drones, and especially your Colonists disappear entirely from view? Also. I can't save the game. It takes literally 20 minutes to get to the menu to try and save! It feels as if each new play through I discover more and more disappointment. I can't be the only one who feels a tad let down and disheartened by this, surely? I'm not complaining, I just wish I could actually get to play this game, I spent my hard earned cash on. At least i got a couple hours play time before all these issues cropped up. So I guess that's something? Just wish we would be told when to expect a fix so we can play! =/
